But let\u2019s say if your customer wants to hide\u00a0all activity option and just wants to add\u00a0a direct link to the activity that they are using mostly.\u00a0If you have similar requirement then this post going to help you for implementing this.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: We can also set a My Activities as default pane using user personal settings, for specific users and they can change the view they want to see.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirement<\/strong>: Add direct link to Email activity, so that customer can access directly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution<\/strong>: We can easily do this using SiteMap customization. We can either manually customize SiteMap or we can modify SiteMap definition using editors that is available. We are going to use SiteMap editor from <strong>XrmToolBox<\/strong>, you can download this tool from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.xrmtoolbox.com\/\">http:\/\/www.xrmtoolbox.com\/<\/a>. Once downloaded this tool follow below steps to implement our requirement.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right click on XrmToolBox.zip file and select Properties-Unblock it.<\/li>\n<li>Extract zip file and double click on XrmToolBox.exe to run it.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Connect to CRM-&gt;New Connection<\/strong> and enter your CRM details and click on <strong>GetOrgs<\/strong> button and select organization name from dropdown, click on <strong>Ok<\/strong>, in below example we are connecting to CRM online trial<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Server name depends on where you have created trial, crm5 represent <strong>Asia Pacific Area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-1703 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap1-255x300.png\" alt=\"sitemap1\" width=\"255\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap1-255x300.png 255w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap1.png 406w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 255px) 100vw, 255px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scroll down list of tools and select SiteMap editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-1704 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap2-300x124.png\" alt=\"sitemap2\" width=\"300\" height=\"124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap2-300x124.png 300w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap2-624x257.png 624w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap2.png 731w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on <strong>Load SiteMap<\/strong> button, it will load the SiteMap of selected organization.<\/li>\n<li>Let\u2019s say we want to add the link under <strong>Sales -&gt; My Work<\/strong> group, Right click on <strong>MyWork<\/strong> and select <strong>Add SubArea<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1705\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap3-300x172.png\" alt=\"sitemap3\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap3-300x172.png 300w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap3.png 395w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on <strong>Select Entity<\/strong> button in right hand <strong>Property<\/strong> section, select <strong>Email<\/strong> entity and click on <strong>Ok<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Save<\/strong> button under <strong>Properties.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Now we can hide All Activity sub area, so right click on new_activities and select Disable, so it will hide it.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Update SiteMap<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Refresh your CRM browser, we should be able to see a direct link in SiteMap for email entity like below:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap51.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-1712 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap51-300x271.png\" alt=\"sitemap5\" width=\"300\" height=\"271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap51-300x271.png 300w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/sitemap51.png 347w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Similarly we can do this for any activity, also now user the set this Email Message link as default pane so that when they will logged in to CRM application they will directly get email messages view by navigating to personal setting -&gt; General tab and set Default Pan and Default Tab as Email Messages.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If we want to access specific activity, first we need to navigate to specific module and then need to select activities sub area, for example Sales-&gt;Activities and then we can select activity view.
