Have you been in a situation where client is complaining about sudden access to unwanted entities\/not required for their process or suddenly they are not able to perform some set of actions? If yes this article is going to help you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution<\/strong>: This is very common in CRM implementation especially when multiple resources are supporting and there is no track of the changes done into the system. So how to identify what changes are done and who have done these changes. Do you know we have an easy way to identify it and that\u2019s available out of the box!!<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-full wp-image-2733 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing.png\" alt=\"auditing\" width=\"177\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing.png 177w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing-176x158.png 176w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 177px) 100vw, 177px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We can enable auditing by navigating <strong>Settings-&gt; Auditing<\/strong>, from this area we can enable global auditing setting for your organization, entity auditing for entity and respective fields, view audit summary and can also work with audit logs. Click on <strong>Global Audit Settings<\/strong> option to enable auditing, this will open <strong>Auditing<\/strong> tab under <strong>System Settings<\/strong> dialog. Click on <strong>Start Auditing<\/strong> and <strong>Common Entit<\/strong>ies check box to enable auditing for common entities. It will enable auditing for the following entities:<br \/>\n\u2022 Account<br \/>\n\u2022 Contact<br \/>\n\u2022 Goal<br \/>\n\u2022 Goal Matrix<br \/>\n\u2022 Lead<br \/>\n\u2022 Marketing List<br \/>\n\u2022 Product<br \/>\n\u2022 Quick Campaign<br \/>\n\u2022 Report<br \/>\n\u2022 Rollup Query<br \/>\n\u2022 Sales Literature<br \/>\n\u2022 Security Roles<br \/>\n\u2022 User<\/p>\n<p>We can also enable auditing for other entities used for sales, marketing and service.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-2734 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing1-300x226.png\" alt=\"auditing1\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing1-300x226.png 300w, https:\/\/himbap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/auditing1.png 511w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After that we can click on <strong>Entity and Field Audit Settings<\/strong> to enable auditing at entity and field level. In our case we want to use auditing feature for security role entity so this will be enabled already. Now open any security role and do some changes, or create new security role.
